What started with a £10 family loan to its founder, Jack Tasker, it has now become one of the UK’s leading and most innovative independent home stores.
In November 2015 Bluestone helped Taskers with a full furniture and fit out project to open a brand new store in Liverpool. The project total was just under £1.5m and involved multiple suppliers and a significant and varied range of costs both asset and non-asset based.
To maximise the benefits for Taskers, the fit out project was split into tranches that took best advantage of capital allowances and corporation tax savings. We used specific funders who would provide the finance on each part of the project, taking into account not only the asset but also the type of funding required.
The assets were then split further to take into account the tight time scale, staged payments, changeable final amount payable from some suppliers and variable deposits. This ensured all deadlines were hit and all funding secured for our customer allowing the project to finish on time and budget.
