Furniture and Fit Out Project for San Carlo

Background

The San Carlo story first began in 1992 in Birmingham, when Carlo Distefano opened the first San Carlo restaurant. San Carlo quickly became a favourite with many of the city’s residents due to its authentic Italian food, ambient atmosphere and high standards of service.  Joined by two generations of the Distefano family, the San Carlo group of award-winning contemporary Italian restaurants has grown to become a £60 million restaurant empire which currently numbers 25 authentic Italian restaurants across the UK.

In a world of chain operators and centralised kitchens, the San Carlo restaurant group remains defiantly independent. Each award winning Italian restaurant headed up by its own team of skilled chefs and management and working with only the best Italian seasonal produce – all underpinned by one thing – a passion for great food, service and style.

Challenge

San Carlo Restaurant Group wanted to upgrade the interior of their head office in Manchester, including their IT equipment and furniture to provide a more modern and stylish workplace. After being introduced to Bluestone's interiors finance specialists, San Carlo decided to move forward with a £250,000 finance lease to invest in the project.

The Solution

The finance lease has allowed San Carlo to make fixed, monthly repayments over a period of time whilst the business continues to maintain a healthy cashflow, enabling them to make additional future investments and benefit from further growth.
